ABSTRACT

AIM: This review aimed to elucidate research trends in global nursing in international literature. DESIGN: A scoping literature review of the PRISMA was used to guide the review. METHODS: PubMed was used to search for English articles published in academic journals between 2016-2018. The search keywords were "global/international/world nursing." We used thematic synthesis to analyse and interpret the data and generated topics for global nursing literature. RESULTS: In total, 133 articles were analysed. Six topics emerged: (a) conceptualization of global nursing, (b) environmental health, (c) infectious diseases, (d) security efforts, (e) global shortage of nursing personnel and (f) diversification of study abroad programmes. The results of this review reflect today's serious international health, labour and global environmental issues. Based on these latest global nursing topics, it is necessary to develop new strategies, nursing models and environment-related theories to create and maintain a healthy environment.

ABSTRACT

Islam is the second-largest religion on a global scale. All around the world Muslims are estimated to comprise more than 1.9 billion people. Therefore, the demand for Halal commodities is expected to reach a high growth rate: thus, it is crucial to increase its global market’s reliability and traceability. Based on these grounds, the scope of this paper is to assess Halal food sustainability, examining the barriers and opportunities offered by the certification and blockchain tools. To this purpose, the authors carried out an integrative literature review, selecting 54 contributions in the Web of Science platform. Despite several limitations, such as the lack of a standardized framework or universally accepted and reliable certifying authorities, the implementation of blockchain technology has emerged as an interesting instrument to increase the trustworthiness and traceability of Halal foods. This tool could also help the development of protocols and standard procedures, ensuring hygienic and permitted products that may boost food safety and security. Besides, the enhancement of the Halal certification and the blockchain tool, even if several efforts are required in terms of innovation and cooperation by local authorities, industrial associations and leading consumers, could enhance fair trade, ethical business, green animal breeding and environmental economics, and hence sustainable development.

ABSTRACT

This study provides a first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary integrative literature review on pain, including several potential manifestations of relevance to everyday life and consumption. Importantly, it explores pain’s symbiotic relationship to pleasure, especially in the context of various marketing and consumption experiences. This research draws from a vast array of disciplines, including psychology, sociology, biology, neuroscience, medicine, business, and marketing, to identify definitional issues of pain, uncover the processes and underlying sources and determinants, and explore various forms in which consumers approach, consume, and experience pain. The study offers novel theoretical insights and concludes with future research directions, as well as relevant managerially important lessons, on the intersection of pain, pleasure, and consumption.

ABSTRACT

The crisis can affect an organization for many reasons, including changes that occur in the market, technology, competition or even a pandemic currently experienced. With this, it is necessary to find solutions so that it is possible to work around the situation and continue operating in the market. This article aims to analyze what are the digital marketing strategies adopted by organizations in different crisis situations, including the Covid-19 pandemic. For this purpose, an integrative review of articles published in the Web of Science, Scopus, SPELL and SciELO databases was carried out. The results show that several strategies in the digital environment are capable of collaborating with the challenges that organizations face with globalization, such as investing in their websites, acting on their social media with content and campaigns, applications, virtual assistants, advertising and others. A research framework was created with the aim of synthesizing the findings of this integrative review. Organizations from different sectors can mirror these strategies to deal with the crisis they face or even join them so that they are not hit by unexpected adversities, resulting in loss of space or even their withdrawal from the market.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic is a big challenge for education worldwide because education has to be done virtually to stop the spread of the COVID-19. The problem is that there are students who live in areas far from cities, while learning in an interconnected world should be done virtually. Diverse geographical conditions in Indonesia consisting of mountains, lowlands, highlands, and valleys and some areas that are far away from cities make students difficult to connect to the internet and thus, virtual teaching is challenging. These areas are often referred to as remote areas. So far, the Indonesian government's approach to dealing with learning difficulties in remote areas is vague. This research aims to construct a theoretical learning framework that can be used to facilitate distance learning in remote areas in Indonesia. This research proposes a developmental theory of alternative learning in remote areas through the integrative literature review. In this research, the theoretical framework evolved out of the review of existing research on community radio, blended learning, transformative education, and critical pedagogy. This research yields a theoretical framework regarding the community radio-based blended learning model that contributes as a promising alternative learning solution in remote areas. It is inferred that this learning model would be a promising learning model in remote areas during unpredictable situations such as in the pandemic era.
